Danny Thomas BSc (Hons) MSc CEcol MCIEEM

Danny Thomas is a Chartered Ecologist (CEcol) with more than 25 years’ post-graduate experience in ecological services. During his career, Danny has spent over 20 years providing professional ecological consultancy. This has seen him work with several large multidisciplinary consultancies and developed a wide knowledge of the planning system. He was also the principal ecologist for the Highways Agency in East Anglia.

Danny maintains a wide knowledge of many habitats and protected species and is experienced in designing and delivering habitat creation and Biodiversity Net Gain schemes. He currently holds licences for bats, great crested newts, dormice, water voles and Schedule 1 birds. In addition to that, he also holds a bird ringing licence through the British Trust for Ornithology.

Among Danny’s skills are project managing, coordinating and delivering the various ecological elements required for development projects of varying sizes. In the past, this work has incorporated everything from small scale private developments to larger national infrastructure projects.
